Full course description

Project Uplift is a program of the Lee County Youth Development Center, Inc. and is an agency operating for the benefit of school age children in Lee County. Our organization’s ultimate purpose is to fulfill two important goals: reduce and prevent juvenile delinquency and build children’s self-esteem.  We serve only children of Lee County – ages 5-12.

This self-paced informational orientation is designed to prepare/provide any persons 19 years of age or older a snap shot/idea of how one can positively impact the lives/futures of children – as well as our community – through developing a mentoring relationship with children of our area.  The 9 modules of information and quizzes largely provide logistical details regarding our program’s history, expectations, profiles of our volunteers/mentors and children/mentees, most common problems our program’s children share, working with parents, goals to accomplish, things one can or can’t do,  clients served, and much more.

We are hopeful you will find the information helpful in deciding if  this  is the right opportunity for you.

Our staff looks forward to being of service to each of you.
